Egypt Pilgrimage Itinerary

October 6th-16th, 2025

Day 1 (Monday, October 6th) - Arrival

Arrive in Cairo - you made it!

At the airport, make sure you obtain your visa stamp, then gather your luggage and transfer to the hotel.
We will be discussing ways to arrange transportation in our workshops.

Your journey in the Land of the Pharaohs begins!

Day 2 (Tuesday, October 7th) - Old Cairo Churches, Holy Family Cave Church, Grand Egyptian Museum

Today, we visit places sacred to the Jews, Christians, and Muslims. We will be introduced to the culture, traditions, and religious values of the Egyptians despite their religious differences as we visit ancient churches and Jewish Synagogues of Old Cairo. Followed by lunch.

After Lunch, we explore the unique masterpieces of art at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest cultural project in modern times. The museum houses the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts with a special pass to the Hall of King Tut-Ankh-Amon which displays 5000 pieces for the first time. There will be free time at the Museum, then we return to the hotel.

Day 3 (Wednesday, October 8th) - Alexandria Library, Royal Jewelry Museum, Royal Gardens & Palace

After breakfast, we depart for Alexandria to visit the New Library of Alexandria with many exhibits including the Antiquities Museum that houses several masterpieces reclaimed from the Mediterranean Sea. We will have lunch then visit the Royal Gardens of Montazah and view the Royal Palace. If time permits, we will visit the Royal Jewelry Museum that houses a great collection of treasures of the Mohamed Ali dynasty. Then we return to Cairo.

Day 4 (Thursday, October 9th) - The Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara Pyramid & Noble Tombs

Our day starts very early. We will pick up our breakfast boxes at the hotel, then go to the Great Pyramids of Giza. We start before the pyramids are open with a private visit to the King’s Chamber where we will have time for meditation and spiritual exploration.

We continue with our visit to the other Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. We will drive into the desert for a panoramic view of the pyramids. An optional camel ride is available for an additional cost.

We will then travel to the ancient pyramids of Sakkara. We will have the opportunity to explore some of the ancient tombs recently uncovered there, then drive back to the hotel.

Day 5 (Friday, October 10th) - Flight to Aswan and visit Nubian Village
[optional visit to Abu Simbel Temples]

After breakfast, we fly to Aswan and go to the hotel, with free time in the morning or add-on an optional trip to Abu Simbel.

Optional adventure: fly to the Abu Simbel Temples. These are two huge temples cut into the mountain rock in ancient times by Pharaoh Ramses the Great. They were re-located by UNESCO when Egypt built the High Dam of Aswan. Optional adventures involve additional cost.

In the afternoon, you will have a chance to splash in the Nile before we visit the Nubian Village and tour its streets with many spices and souvenirs. We will also visit a private home and learn about the Nubians, their history, and traditions.

Day 6 (Saturday, October 11th) - Philae Temple, board our cruise ship, sail to Kom Ombo Temple, and enjoy a Galabiya Party

We take a tour of the Philae Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, enjoying the temple's beautiful island location. We then have meditation time in the temple and learn about Isis & Osiris.

Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo. We will stop to tour the imposing Greco-Roman Dual Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to two Gods with its unique carvings of the Ancient Calendar and the Medical Instruments.

Galabiya is a loose-fitting, traditional garment from the Nile Valley, and the party is a space to enjoy and buy local wares.

Day 7 (Sunday, October 12th) - Visit Edfu Temple, sail to Luxor- Visit Karnak Temple

In the early morning, we will visit the Temple of Edfu, the best-preserved temple from the ancient world, with carvings of the Myth of Horus and Seth fighting on the walls. Then return to the cruiseship and set sail to Luxor.

After lunch, we start a sightseeing tour of the East Bank of Luxor. Visit the magnificent Temples of Karnak, dating back over 3,000 years. Walk along the avenue of the Sphinxes and marvel at the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive sandstone columns. Visit the Temple of Luxor with its colossal Statues and Obelisk.

Day 8 (Monday, October 13th) - Valley of Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, drive to Abydos

Optional adventure: early-morning hot-air balloon ride over the temples and tombs on the West Side of the Nile, then return for breakfast and checkout. Optional adventures involve additional cost.

Visit the Valley of the Kings, the necropolis of Thebes, and explore the tombs of ancient Egypt’s rulers.

Next, head to the Temple of Hatshepsut, a colonnaded structure surrounded by cliffs and learn about the life of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female ruler.

Then visit alabaster house to learn about making handmade alabaster and conclude the tour at the Colossi of Memnon: two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

Depart for Abydos (a 3-hour drive) and check into the House of Life Hotel. We have free time for dinner, relaxation, and meditation.

Day 9 (Tuesday, October 14th) - Private visit to Osirian Temple - Visit Temples of Abydos- Return to the Hotel, Afternoon meditation or visit back to the Temple

After breakfast, we visit the Osirian Temple and meditate in its vault, and visit its granite chapels. This will be a private tour, as this area is not generally open to the public.

Then we walk back to the Temple of Abydos and enjoy the most beautiful carvings and colors in the temple that was built by King Seti I and Ramses II. Visit the different chapels of the most famous Gods of Ancient Egypt, also the Corridor of the Ancestors. Then walk to visit the Temple of Ramses II (a 3-minute walk from Abydos temple) and return to the hotel to have lunch, rest, or meditate.

Optional adventure: walk back to the temple and enjoy private time by yourself (a new entry ticket may be necessary).

Day 10 (Wednesday, October 15th) - Departure to Luxor and visit Dandara Temple

After breakfast, we will travel to Dandara Temple, built for the Goddess Hathor. We will see the astronomical ceiling, the zodiac, and the temple’s unique columns with the head of Hathor.

From Luxor, we fly back to Cairo in the evening for flights home.

Optional extension: after finishing the visit to Dandara Temple, those extending their pilgrimage will continue to the Red Sea (a 4-hour drive with a rest stop). This optional extension involves an additional cost.

For those with morning flights (and who are not joining the extension), a hotel can be arranged for an additional cost.

Day 11 (Thursday, October 16th) - Fly Home

Day 11 (Thursday, October 16th) - Optional Full-Day Snorkel Trip on a Yacht with time on Orange Island Beach

After breakfast, you can relax and enjoy your surroundings, or you have the option to spend a full day on a yacht for a snorkel trip to the Red Sea, experiencing the clear warm water, beautiful corals, and colored fish. Diving is an extra option for an additional fee.

Lunch on board is included on this optional adventure. Then we visit the White Island and enjoy its sandy beach.

You can spend your evening at leisure enjoying the hotel’s facilities, dining at any of the local restaurants, or exploring the El Gouna downtown vibes.

Day 12 (Friday, October 17th) - Free day – swim, snorkel, opt for more diving, or desert safari option available

Lazy breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Enjoy a free relaxed time, on the beach, Pool, or go for more diving and snorkeling, also, you can opt to go on Safari excursion to the Bedouin Settlements in the Red Sea Mountains and enjoy a wonderful Sunset with BBQ Dinner.

Day 13 (Saturday, October 18th) - Free day, flight home

Breakfast at leisure and a free morning.

In the afternoon, we fly to Cairo airport for your flights home.

For those with morning flights, a hotel can be arranged for an additional cost.
